Nafi from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13330 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Fasting
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفًّى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْأَبْرَشُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fasting while on a journey is not righteousness."
