Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 133 — most of the riders of the caravan who set
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ «أَنَّ عَامَّةَ الرَّكْبِ الَّذِينَ سَارُوا إِلَى عُثْمَانَ جُنُّوا»
It is narrated from Yazid bin Abi Habib that most of the riders of the caravan who set out against Uthman (to attack him) went mad.
