Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13294 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ أَنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، أَخْبَرَهِ أَنَّ نَافِعًا أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَحْسُدُ مَنْ حَسَدَ أَوْ كَمَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ عَلَى خَصْلَتَيْنِ، رَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One who envies envies only on account of two qualities" - or as Allah willed that he (peace and blessings be upon him) should say - "a man to whom Allah has given the Qur'an and he stands with it through the hours of the night and the day, and a man to whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it."
