Sayyiduna Thabit bin al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man vowed to sacrifice (camels) at Buwanah. So he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have vowed to sacrifice at Buwanah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Was there any idol among the idols of the Jahiliyyah there that used to be worshipped?" He said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Was any of their festivals celebrated there?" He said: No. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fulfil your vow, for there is no fulfilling of a vow in disobedience to Allah, nor in severing ties of kinship, nor in what the son of Adam does not own."
