Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13273 — when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَمِّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذَا رَأَى الْهِلَالَ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ، وَتَرْضَى , رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the new moon, he would say: "O Allah, bring it upon us with security and faith, with safety and Islam, and with success in what You love and are pleased with. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah."
