حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ حُظُوظَهُنَّ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَّكُمْ» فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ: وَاللهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " يَا عَدُوَّ اللهِ أَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَتَقُولُ لَنَمْنَعُهُنُّ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not prevent women from coming to the mosques, which is their right, when they ask your permission." At that Bilal said: By Allah, we will certainly prevent them. So Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O enemy of Allah! I say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this, and you say that we will certainly prevent them?"
