حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، ثنا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ حَلَفَ بِمِلَّةٍ سِوَى الْإِسْلَامِ، كَاذِبًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ، وَمَنْ ذَبَحَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْءٍ، ذُبِحَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thabit bin al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears falsely by a religion other than Islam, he is as he said; and whoever slaughters himself with something will be slaughtered with it on the Day of Resurrection."
