Salim from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13136 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ صَيْدٍ، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog, other than a dog for guarding livestock or a hunting dog, two qirats are deducted from his deeds every day."
