Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13135 — the Prophet ﷺ said: When it
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ طَاهِرِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، ثنا جَدِّي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبَ، حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُجَبِّرٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ سَابِعِهِ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وَأَزِيلُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When it is the seventh day of his (the newborn's) life, shed blood on his behalf (perform the aqiqah), and remove the harmful thing (the hair) from him."
