Salim from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13127 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The night
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زِمَامٍ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The night prayer is two rak'ahs at a time; then, when you fear the arrival of dawn, make witr with one rak'ah."
