حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رُؤْيَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ اجْتَمَعُوا فَقَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ، وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ، وَاللهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَاسْتَحَالَتْ غَرْبًا فَمَا رَأَيْتُ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنَ النَّاسِ يَفْرِي فَرِيَّهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), describing his dream about Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), said: "I saw that the people had gathered. Then Abu Bakr stood up and drew one or two buckets of water, and there was some weakness in his drawing, may Allah forgive him. Then Umar bin al-Khattab stood up, and the bucket turned into a huge bucket. I have not seen anyone among the people work with such skill as his, until the people watered their camels and settled them in their resting place."
