Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12944 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّامِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ صَبَاحِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمُزَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَمْ أُومَرْ بِتَشْيِيدِ الْمَسَاجِدِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have not been commanded to build mosques lofty and adorned."
