حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّلِبِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: «أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ شَيْئًا لَهُ مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ، فَلَمْ يُضَمِّنْهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Talibb (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man freed his share of a slave, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not make him liable (for the value of the remaining share).
