Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12799 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to shorten

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْصُرُ الصَّلَاةَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَمَكَّةَ لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللهَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to shorten the prayer while travelling between Madinah and Makkah, though he (peace and blessings be upon him) feared no one but Allah.
