حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ كِلَاهُمَا، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ: «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ , لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ , لَا إِلَهُ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate at times of distress: "La ilaha illallahul-'Azimul-Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-Karim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati wa Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim" (There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the Noble Throne. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne).
