Amr bin Sufyan from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12691 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Sodom

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ، ثنا سَوَّارُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا هَلَكَ سَدُومُ، وَمَا حَوْلَهَا مِنَ الْقُرَى حَتَّى اسْتَاكُوا بِالْمَسَاوِيكِ، وَمَضَغُوا الْعِلْكَ فِي الْمَجَالِسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sodom and the towns around it were not destroyed until they began using tooth-sticks (miswak) and chewing gum (resin) in their gatherings."
