Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12645 — On the night of Muzdalifah the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " قَدَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ أُغَيْلِمَةَ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَلَى حُمُرَاتٍ فَجَعَلَ يُلَطِّخُ أَفْخَاذَنَا، وَيَقُولُ: «أَبَنِيَّ لَا تَرْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: On the night of Muzdalifah the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us ahead, the young boys of Banu Abd al-Muttalib, on female donkeys, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would (gently) pat our thighs and say: "My sons, do not stone the Jamrah until the sun has risen."
