Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12499 — The Prophet of Allah ﷺ was sitting one

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُنِيبِ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ جَالِسًا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ جَعَلَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ شَهْوَةً، وَإِنَّ شَهْوَتِي فِي قِيَامِ هَذَا اللَّيْلِ، فَلَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدٌ خَلْفِي، وَإِنَّ اللهَ جَعَلَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ طُعْمَةً، وَإِنَّ طُعْمَتِي هَذَا الْخُمُسُ، فَإِذَا قُبِضْتُ فَهُوَ لِوُلَاةِ الْأَمْرِ مِنْ بَعْدِي»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting one day with the people around him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has given every prophet a desire, and my desire is in standing (in prayer) this night, so let no one pray behind me (in this voluntary night prayer). And Allah Almighty has appointed for every prophet a provision, and my provision is this khumus (one-fifth of the spoils); when I pass away, it is for those in authority after me."
