حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ الْبَزَّازُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فَأَمَرَ بِهِ أَنْ يُغَسَّلَ وَيُدْرَجَ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ، وَلَا يُمَسَّ بِطِيبٍ» ، وَأَشُكُّ أَغُطِّيَ رَأْسُهُ أَمْ لَا؟ قَالَ: «هَذَا يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُلَبِّي»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A Muslim man died in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that he be washed and wrapped in two garments, and that no perfume be applied to him. And I am in doubt whether (he also said) his head was to be covered or not. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This man will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah."
