Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12476 — A man from the Companions of the Prophet

حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السِّمْسَارُ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، ثنا خَالِدٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: وَقَصَتْ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاقَتُهُ , فَقَتَلَتْهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ، وَلَا تُمِسُّوهُ طِيبًا، وَاغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ، وَسِدْرٍ، وَلَا تُغَطُّوا وَجْهَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُلَبِّي»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A man from the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was thrown by his she-camel and killed, while he was in the state of ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shroud him in his two garments, do not apply any perfume to him, wash him with water and lote-tree leaves, and do not cover his face, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah."
