Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12472 — A man from among us fell from his mount

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: وُقِصَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَمَاتَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ، وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا وَجْهَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A man from among us fell from his mount while in the state of ihram and was killed, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wash him with water and lote-tree leaves, shroud him in his two garments, and do not cover his face, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah."
