حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّهِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ اتَّبَعَ كِتَابَ اللهِ هَدَاهُ اللهُ مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ، وَوَقَاهُ سُوءَ الْحِسَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: {فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ، وَلَا يَشْقَى} [طه: ١٢٣]
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever follows the Book of Allah, Allah guides him away from misguidance and protects him from an evil reckoning on the Day of Resurrection." That is because Allah Almighty says: "Then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor be wretched" [Surah Ta Ha: 123].
