حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ مَاتَ مُدْمِنَ خَمْرٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ كَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in marfu' form: "Whoever dies addicted to wine will meet Allah as though he were an idol-worshipper."
