Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12374 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The best

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ الْعُمَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ نُصَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضُ فَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، وَأَلْبِسُوا أَحْيَاءَكُمْ، وَخَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ، وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of your garments is the white one, so shroud your dead in it and clothe your living in it. And the best of your kohl is ithmid; it makes the hair grow and clears the eyesight."
