Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12352 — The aged man, the person afflicted

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا فَرْوَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ، ثنا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: «رُخِّصَ لِلشَّيْخِ الْكَبِيرِ، وَالَّذِي يَأْخُذُهُ الْعُطَاشُ، وَالْحَامِلِ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا فِي رَمَضَانَ»

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The aged man, the person afflicted with the disease of extreme thirst, and the pregnant woman have been granted the concession of not fasting in Ramadan."
