حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَشْعَثِيُّ، ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْخَرَّاطِ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: {رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا , وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ مَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ} [البقرة: ١٢٦] ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: " كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ احْتَجَرَهَا دُونَ النَّاسِ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَمَنْ كَفَرَ أَيْضًا، فَأَنَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ كَمَا أَرْزُقُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَخْلُقُ خَلْقًا لَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ، أُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا , ثُمَّ اضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ "، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: {كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا} [الإسراء: ٢٠]
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "My Lord, make this a secure city, and provide its people with fruits, those of them who believe in Allah and the Last Day" [Surah al-Baqarah: 126]: "Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) had made this supplication specific to the believers only, so Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: And whoever disbelieves too, I will provide for them just as I provide for the believers. Would I create a creation and not provide for them? I give them a little enjoyment, then I drive them to the punishment of the Fire." Then Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) recited this verse: "To each, these and those, We extend from the bounty of your Lord, and the bounty of your Lord is never withheld" [Surah al-Isra: 20].
