Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12317 — a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُرَاتٍ الْقَزَّازُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَالْحَكَمُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ: إِنَّ عَلَيَّ رَقَبَةً وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ أَعْجَمِيَّةٌ، فَقَالَ: " ائْتِنِي بِهَا، فَقَالَ: «أَتَشْهَدِينَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؟» قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: «أَتَشْهَدِينَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ؟» قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: «فَأَعْتِقْهَا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "I am obliged to free a slave, and I have a black, non-Arab slave girl." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring her to me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you bear witness that there is no true god except Allah?" She said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?" She said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then free her."
