حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: «كَانَ يُلَبِّي أَهْلُ الشِّرْكِ لَبَّيْكَ اللهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ , لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ إِلَّا شَرِيكا هُوَ لَكَ تَمْلِكُهُ وَمَا مَلَكَ» ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {هَلْ لَكُمْ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ شُرَكَاءَ فِيمَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ، فَأَنْتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ}
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The polytheists used to say this talbiyah: 'Labbayka Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la sharika laka illa sharikan huwa lak, tamlikuhu wa ma malak' (Here I am, O Allah, here I am; You have no partner except a partner who is Yours; You own him and whatever he owns)." So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "Do you have, among those whom your right hands possess, any partners in what We have provided you, so that you are equal in it, and you fear them as you fear one another?"
