Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12185 — We know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقراطيسيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ «مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَمَسَحَ أَصْحَابُهُ» ، فَهَلْ مَسَحَ مُنْذُ نَزَلَتْ سُورَةُ الْمَائِدَةِ؟
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: We know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over the leather socks (khuffs), and his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions also wiped over them. But did he (peace and blessings be upon him) wipe over them after Surah al-Ma'idah was revealed?
