حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقراطيسيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسِيرُ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ كَلَّمَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ مِحَفَّةٍ لَهَا، وَأَخَذَتْ بِعَضُدِ صَبِيٍّ فَرَفَعَتْهُ فَقَالَتْ: أَلِهَذَا حَجٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «لَهُ حَجٌّ وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was travelling on the road to Makkah when a woman spoke to him ((peace and blessings be upon him)) from her litter (howdah). She took hold of a child's upper arm, lifted him up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Is there Hajj for this one?" He ((peace and blessings be upon him)) said: "He will have Hajj, and you will have a reward."
