حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، صَاحِبُ الْمَغَازِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «شَهِدَ الْفَتْحَ أَلْفٌ وَثَمَانُمِائَةٍ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ، وَأَلْفٌ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ، وَتِسْعُمِائَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، وَأَرْبَعُمِائَةٍ وَنَيِّفٌ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ، وَأَرْبَعُمِائَةٍ وَنَيِّفٌ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Present at the Conquest of Makkah were one thousand eight hundred from Juhaynah, one thousand from Muzaynah, nine hundred from Banu Sulaym, four hundred and some from Banu Ghifar, and four hundred and some from Aslam."
