Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12059 — When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) be stoned, they came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him that they had done so. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has repented with such a repentance that if even a collector of unlawful levies (taxes) were to repent like it, it would be accepted from him."
