حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَغُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ وَلِذَلِكَ كَرِهَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had himself cupped in Ramadan and he (peace and blessings be upon him) fainted; for this reason it was considered disliked.
