حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَنِيفَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصِّينِيُّ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَبُو الْحَارِثِ الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: وَقَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَتْلَى بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ: «جَزَاكُمِ اللهُ عَنِّي مِنْ عِصَابَةٍ شَرًّا قَدْ خَوَّنْتُمُوني أَمِينًا، وكَذَّبْتُموني صَادِقًا» ، ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ أَعْتَى عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَمَّا أَيْقَنَ بِالْهَلَكَةِ وَحَّدَ اللهَ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمَّا أَيْقَنَ بِالْمَوْتِ دَعَا بِاللَّاتِ وَالْعُزَّى»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped by those slain at Badr and said: "May Allah repay you with evil on my behalf, O band of men! You called me treacherous when I was trustworthy, and you called me a liar when I was truthful." Then he turned to Abu Jahl bin Hisham and said: "This man was more rebellious against Allah than Pharaoh. When Pharaoh became certain of destruction, he affirmed the oneness of Allah; but when this man became certain of death, he called upon al-Lat and al-Uzza."
