حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْحَرِيرِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «قَضَى فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) judged concerning the mukatab that he should pay the blood money of a free man in proportion to the part of him that has been freed.
