Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11941 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The blood

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «دِيَةُ الْمُكَاتَبِ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْحُرِّ، وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْعَبْدِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blood money of a mukatab (a slave who has contracted to buy his freedom) is the blood money of a free man in proportion to the part of him that has been freed, and the blood money of a slave in proportion to the part of him that remains enslaved."
