It is narrated from Sayyiduna Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them riding a mule, which we used to call "the Syrian she-donkey." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions entered upon them. My mother stood up and spread a velvet cloth on a mat in the house for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); she wanted to reserve it for him (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on it, I clung to the mat. Abdullah bin Busr said: Then my father Busr offered them dates to occupy them with, and he told my mother, so she made jashish (a porridge-like dish) for them. Abdullah said: I was the servant between my father and my mother, and my father was attending to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions. When my mother finished the jashish, I carried it until I placed it before them, and they ate. Then he gave them fadikh (a date drink) to drink, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drank and gave to the one on his (peace and blessings be upon him) right. Then I took the cup until what was in it was finished, so I filled it and brought it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to the one whom the cup has reached." Then when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, he supplicated for us and said: "'Allahumma irhamhum, waghfir lahum, wa barik lahum fi rizqihim' (O Allah, have mercy on them, forgive them, and bless them in their provision)." And we continued to experience from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, abundance in provision.
