حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ، وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ أَبَدًا، وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ الْآنُكُ فِي سماخِهِ، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَةً، أَوْ قَالَ: بَيْنِ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ، وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَلَيْسَ بِفَاعِلٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes an image will be required on the Day of Resurrection to breathe a soul into it, and he will never be able to breathe it in, and he will be punished for it. Whoever listens to the talk of people who dislike it, molten lead will be poured into his ears. And whoever lies about his dream will be required to tie a grain of barley" or he said: "to tie a knot between two grains of barley" "and he will be punished for it, while he will never be able to do it."
