Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11804 — This verse is not abrogated. He used

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "This verse is not abrogated. He used to recite it as yutawwaqunahu (those for whom it is made a heavy burden). It concerns the very old man who is obliged to fast but is not able to, so he does not fast and gives the fidyah (compensation)."
