حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ {كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً} [البقرة: ٢١٣] قَالَ: «عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said about this verse: "Mankind was one community" [Surah al-Baqarah: 213]. He said: "That is, upon Islam."
