Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11778 — Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir came
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَزَّازُ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَا: ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُخْتَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ نَذْرِ أُخْتِكَ فَلْتَرْكَبْ، وَلْتُهْدِ بَدَنَةً»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that his sister had vowed to walk to the House of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has no need of your sister's vow; let her ride, and let her sacrifice a camel."
