Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1170 — Muhammad bin Sirin relates: On the day

Muhammad bin Sirin relates: On the day of Musaylimah, Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) encountered a man who was called "Himar al-Yamamah" (the Donkey of Yamamah). He was "a tall man with a white sword in his hand," and "al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) was a short man. So al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) struck at his legs with the sword, but it was as if he missed him, and he fell on his back." (Al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him)) said: "So I took hold of his sword and sheathed my own sword, and I struck only a single blow until (his sword) broke, so I threw it away and took my own sword."
