حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَوْفُوا اللِّحَى، وقُصُّوا الشَّوَارِبَ» قَالَ: «وَكَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ خَلِيلَ الرَّحْمَنِ، يُوفِّي لِحْيَتَهُ، ويَقُصُّ شَارِبَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let your beards grow in full, and trim your moustaches." He said: "And Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), who was the Khalil (intimate friend) of the Most Merciful, used to let his beard grow in full and trim his moustache."
