حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَوْمٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَدْ نَصَبُوا حَمَامَةً يَرْمُونَهَا، فَقَالَ: «لَا تَتَّخِذُوا شَيْئًا مِنَ الرُّوحِ غَرَضًا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some people of the Ansar who had set up a pigeon and were using it as a target. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not make any living creature at all a target."
