Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11620 — On the day of Khaybar, the Companions
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَوْرَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: أَصَابَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ حُمُرَ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ، فَطَبَخُوا مِنْ لَحْمِهَا «فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْقُدُورِ أَنْ تُكْفَأَ، وَحَرَّمَ لُحُومَهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: On the day of Khaybar, the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came upon domestic donkeys and cooked their meat. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the cooking pots be overturned, and on that day he declared their meat unlawful.
