حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ، ثنا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ مَرَّةً سُنَّةٌ، فَمَا زَادَ فنافلةٌ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Visiting the sick once is Sunnah; whatever is more than that is voluntary (nafl)."
