Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11596 — A man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas

Ikrimah narrated: A man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): How much water suffices for the ritual bath (ghusl)? He said: One sa', and for ablution (wudu) one mudd. The man said: That is not enough for me. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: May you lose your mother! It was enough for one who was better than you, that is, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
