Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11318 — I went in to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحِنَّائِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، ثنا نَافِعٌ أَبُو هُرْمُزٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ يَوْمَ الثُّلَاثَاءِ، فَقُلْتُ: هَذَا الْيَوْمَ تَحْتَجِمُ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، وَمَنْ وَافَقَ مِنْكُمْ يَوْمَ الثُّلَاثَاءِ لَيْلَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ مَضَتْ منَ الشَّهْرِ فَلَا يُجَاوِزُ حَتَّى يَحْتَجِمُ فَاحْتَجِمُوا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I went in to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was having cupping done on a Tuesday. I said: "Are you having cupping done on this day?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes; and whoever of you finds that a Tuesday falls on the seventeenth night of the month, let him not let that date pass until he has had cupping done. So have cupping done."
