حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا مَسْلَمَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَى بِالْبَاكُورَةِ مِنَ الثِّمَارِ وَضَعَهُ عَلَى عَيْنَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ كَمَا أَطْعَمَتْنَا أَوَّلَهُ فَأَطْعِمْنَا آخِرَهُ» ، ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ بِهِ لِلْمَوْلُودِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whenever the first fruit of the season was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would place it on his eyes and then say: "O Allah, just as You have fed us its first, feed us its last as well." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would order that it be given to the youngest child of his household.
