Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10946 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Five

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُنِيبِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، وَطَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَمْسٌ بِخَمْسٍ» قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا خَمْسٌ بِخَمْسٍ؟ قَالَ: «مَا نَقَضَ قَوْمٌ الْعَهْدَ إِلَّا سُلِّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوُّهُمْ، وَمَا حَكَمُوا بِغَيْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ إِلَّا فَشَا فِيهِمُ الْفَقْرُ، وَلَا ظَهَرَتْ فِيهِمُ الْفَاحِشَةُ إِلَّا فَشَا فِيهِمُ الْمَوْتُ، وَلَا طفَّفُوا الْمِكْيَالَ إِلَّا مُنِعُوا النَّبَاتَ وَأُخِذُوا بِالسِّنِينَ، وَلَا مَنَعُوا الزَّكَاةَ إِلَّا حُبِسَ عَنْهُمُ الْقَطْرُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Five things are in return for five things." The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah, what are the five for five? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No people break a covenant except that their enemy is given power over them; no people judge by other than what Allah has revealed except that poverty spreads among them; immorality does not become widespread among a people except that death (pestilence) spreads among them; no people give short measure except that produce is withheld from them and they are afflicted with years of famine; and no people withhold zakah except that rain is withheld from them."
